Be kind, be calm, and be safe.
As we all continue to push forward in our efforts to “flatten the curve” and make things safer for everyone, Dr. Bonnie Henry’s early advice to British Columbians is as relevant today as ever.
While we all remain safe at home and practice physical distancing, many of us may find ourselves much more aware of our neighbours or of others in our households than ever before. This can mean frayed nerves, limited patience, and frustration; these feelings can be expected under the current circumstances, and your neighbours or household members are likely feeling the same.
Truly getting through this together will require kindness and empathy – for our families, our neighbours, and our community. It also means affording a mutual respect for those frontline workers that clean our buildings, conduct maintenance, and keep our homes safe and secure.
In this Brief, we are providing more activities and exercises to help keep you occupied and safe while you continue physically distancing, as well as resources to guide you to the help you need if you are struggling to cope.
We request residents that are confirmed to have COVID-19 to inform Brightside immediately. Your privacy is of paramount importance to Brightside and this information will be taken in confidence to help ensure protective measures are taken.
