We are excited to announce the appointment of Brightside’s new Board Chair, Aran Clarke. Aran succeeds Past Chair Frank Chong and is set to lead the organization into its 75th year of providing affordable homes and resilient communities in Metro Vancouver.
Aran has served on the Brightside Board since April 2020 and has served as Vice Chair for two years.
Aran is values-driven and deeply committed to housing, in both her professional and volunteer roles. As Interim Chief Administrative Officer at Concert Properties, Aran is a seasoned professional with deep experience in change management and transformation projects and initiatives. Her passions are people and supporting leaders and organizations to align their people and technology related strategies with future organizational goals.
Aran holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Post Diploma in Human Resources. In 2018, Aran completed the Leadership Academy, a program sponsored by the Global Alliance for Banking on Values and curated and taught by MIT. Aran has had the great fortune to work with several different organizations and industries over the years, ranging from aviation to banking and now real estate.
Aran is mother to two talented daughters. On weekends she can be found reading a good book, hiking, or ferrying the girls to their various pursuits.
We express our deep gratitude to outgoing Board Chair Frank Chong for his tremendous contributions and dedication to the Brightside Board. Frank will continue to bring his skills and leadership to the Board as Past Chair.
