Amit Price Patel is a Partner at DIALOG and an award winning urban planner, architect, and urban designer with more than 25 years of experience advancing equitable, community focused housing projects across North America. His work spans affordable, supportive, Indigenous, and modular housing, as well as large scale master planning, urban design, and transit-oriented communities. Amit has led the design and delivery of housing for low-income seniors, unhoused individuals and families, youth, and First Nations and Métis communities, including projects such as X̱ápay̓ay- Place of Cedars, Rapid Housing Initiative Modular projects, and youth supportive housing.
Amit brings a strong blend of design leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational stewardship. He is deeply committed to inclusive engagement, reconciliation, and social justice, and has collaborated extensively with equity denied communities, municipalities, non-profits, the private sector and housing providers. Amit previously served as a Board Member with the East Bay Housing Organizations and Architects Designers Planners for Social Responsibility. Amit’s broad experience creating sustainable affordable housing in locations throughout Canada, as well as San Francisco, St. Louis, Boston and South Africa, informs his collaborative and empathetic approach, grounded in a belief that thoughtfully designed housing is foundational to community wellbeing and human connection.
