Edward Byers is a low-rise wood-frame building with bachelor and one-bedroom suites. The property does not receive government subsidies, so applicants do not need BC Housing registration numbers. Pets and smoking are prohibited.
In 1960, the Lions Club donated seed money to purchase land to build Edward Byers House. The apartment building opened in 1962 and has spacious bachelor suites and grounds where tenants can spend time and tend to the garden. The building features an amenity room, shared laundry and storage lockers depending on availability. The building does not have balconies or assigned parking.
