Casa Mia is a three-storey wood-frame building with primarily one- and two-bedroom suites. Pets and smoking are prohibited.
In 2024, Brightside purchased Casa Mia through the provincially-funded Rental Protection Fund. Geared toward preserving the existing affordability of the rental homes already on the site, Casa Mia is a low-end-of-market rental building with rates that are maintained well below market rents in the area. Casa Mia has shared laundry, outdoor amenity areas, an elevator, and secured underground parking.
